Green Energy Physics & Solid State Ionics: Renewable Energy Development

  • Materials: Fuel Cell materials (especially solid oxide fuel cells), Solar Cell Materials, Materials for Li-ion batteries, solid electrolytes and ion conducting materials, sensors, super-capacitors, dielectric, glassy and electro-ceramics, Functional materials for energy applications.
  • Synthesis Techniques: Synthesis of the materials via solid state as well as chemical routes such as polyol mediated, glycine-nitrate, citrate-nitrate, sol-gel, co-precipitation and combustion methods.
  • Properties of Materials: Electrical, Dielectric, Structural, Thermal, Surface and textural properties of Materials.
  • Physical Techniques & Analysis Tools: Conductivity spectroscopy, Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, Scaling properties of the conductivity spectra, I-V characteristics, Dielectric spectroscopy, X-ray Rietveld analysis, SEM, TEM, XPS, TEC, DT/TGA, FTIR and RAMAN spectroscopy, BET Surface area and particle size analysis etc.
  • Software & ICT Skills: A good handling ability of various kinds of software’s and programmes applicable for research & general purposes.
