Dr. Achingliu Kamei 

Dr Achingliu Kamei is an Associate Professor. She was the teacher-in-charge in 2014-2015 and 2019-2020. She has taught a range of papers to under-graduate students, ranging from American Literature, 20th Century Literature, Postcolonial Literature, Diaspora Literature, World Literature, Women's Writing, Early 20th Century Novels etc. She tutors the MA students in American Literature, 20th Century Novels, New Literature in English, Elective Papers, etc. She has actively contributed to the corporate life of the college in various capacities. She is the Nodal officer for the North East Welfare committee and regularly organises Orientations, Talks, Movie Screenings, and Inter-college sports meets etc. She also organises the annual "Rainbow Fest", an inter-college cultural festival since 2015 till date. She also had contributed as a member of societies like the Film Appreciation Society and had worked as the English section editor of the college magazine. She also is a published author, of 3 books, and several of her poems had appeared in international journals and anthologies and she has also presented several papers at international and national conferences and seminars. She has a holistic approach to life and has devoted time to mentoring students not only in academics but also encouraging them to lead physically active life. She herself has participated in numerous marathons and Ultra Trail running events nationally and internationally.
